WHAT WE DO
SLD brings together Legal Experts, Academicians, Professional Trainers and Dispute Resolution Experts from different parts of the country and abroad to provide a range of diversified services for Human and Institutional Development.
Experts at the SLD strongly believe that there is a relationship between law and development. Even with all of its different manifestations and meanings, development is almost impossible without the intervention of law. They have knowledge and expertise in the fields of law and development and their intersections. This makes it possible for the SLD team to support individuals and organizations conceptualizing policy and legislation that aligns with the principles of sustainable and responsible development.
At SLD, we have extensive experiences and expertise in providing a range of legal and legislative drafting services to public, private and non-profit sectors. Our experts have been engaged with national and provincial governments in drafting various laws and policies. We help our clients in legal compliance with regulating authorities and contract management.
SLD pursues to offer up-to-date and high quality social and legal research. SLD facilitates its clients to provide practice and policy inputs to decision-makers through informed research and comprehensive analysis. SLD’s also arranges various events varying from seminars on current international and national affairs to large-scale international conferences that attract renowned leaders, lawyers, academics and policymakers from all over the world.
SLD enhances the capacities of students, scholars, Government officers, researchers and employees of private organisations in a diverse range of subjects such as law, development, human rights, corporate social responsibility, project management, politics and international relations. At SLD, we work to enhance the knowledge and skills of our clients and to raise their institutional profiles.
SLD advises the government and civil society on formulating policies on the matter relating to human rights law and development with a particular focus on women, child and transgender rights. Our experts have major contribution in legislative proposals, program formulation, planning and implementation of projects.
At SLD, we have an experienced team of grant writers. We love to write intent and grant applications, find potential funders, write reports and review relevant documents. We can write the entire applications including budgets or certain sections. The grant applications, we’ve worked on ranged from small amounts to large multiyear projects.
We have prepared funding proposals for national and international NGOs, universities, think tanks, Government departments and community groups. We also have identified the relevant donors for a range of projects such as public health, climate change, human rights, child protection and disaster management.
