Umer Sajjad has extensive experience of 11 years in Civil and Constitutional Litigation, Corporate and Regulatory compliance, Legislative drafting, drafting and vetting of Agreements including MoU’s, Contracts and Joint Ventures and drafting of Legal advice and legal opinion. He is actively working with various regulators including Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC), Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Federal Government Employees Housing Authority (FGEHA). He represented both public and private claimants, defendants in various cases before respective High Courts, Special Tribunals, District courts, Service Tribunal and Civil Courts. Umer had assisted Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Law and Justice and Reforms Committee of the Cabinet, on behalf of DAI-AAWAZ, to review and propose amendments in the existing law. While working with Law Reforms Committee he drafted many bills, ordinances and policy briefs for placement before the Federal Cabinet. Conducted various trainings of judicial officers, prosecutors, lawyers and journalist on various legal issues including Juvenile Justice and prosecution related to women and child rights pertaining to sexual abuse and gender based violence and child labor and child domestic labor.
