Firoz-Ud-Din Ahmad retired as a Conservator of Forests, Development & Working Plan Circle, Lahore on September 21, 2021.
Mr. Ahmad specializes in preparing and revising Forest Management Plans to conserve biodiversity and enhance carbon stocking, monitoring, and final evaluation of forestry-related development projects. He has successfully supervised the activities of Forest GIS Lab (Geographical Information System), Lahore such as the preparation of Digital GIS Based Forest Maps and monitoring of Forest Areas through Drone flights, etc. Mr. Ahmad also specializes in conducting research on forestry and allied disciplines. Regarding this, he held the position of the Director of Punjab Forest Research Institute Gatwala, Faisalabad from 1-05-2020 to 27-07- 2020. He has arranged training courses for foresters, farmers, NGOs, and internees of University students. Throughout his career, he has conducted 20 pieces of training.
Moreover, he held various important offices during his career. Few of them include Conservator of Forests, Canal Side at Sargodha; Provincial Project Coordinator in the UNDP project; Divisional Forest Officer, Development & Working Plan Circle, Lahore; District Officer Forests, Lahore & and before that in Toba Tek Singh; Divisional Forest Officer, Development and Working Plan Circle, Lahore; and, Director Marketing, Office of the Chief Conservator of Forests Central Zone, Lahore.
